AYLI Youth (African Youth Leadership Initiative) was created in response to the urgent need for a new generation of African leaders who are equipped to solve problems, lead with purpose, and transform their own communities.
Recognizing that young people often lack access to mentorship, leadership development, and practical entrepreneurial support, AYLI was formed as a strategic platform to fill that gap. Grounded in local realities and shaped by direct engagement with youth across the continent, AYLI aims to build a high-trust, low-cost pipeline for leadership that starts at home and grows outward.

AYLI is rooted in nearly two decades of youth mentorship and development experience across the U.S., Africa, Asia, and Europe. Our founder’s vision is to create a platform where African youth can rise to lead in their own contexts—without having to leave them.
AYLI was built not just to inspire leadership, but to cultivate it through sustained, locally relevant, and globally informed engagement.

AYLI Youth equips young Africans—primarily ages 18 to 28—with the guidance, skills, and mindset to become changemakers in their communities. Through relational Mentorship, character-based Leadership, community-rooted Entrepreneurship, and carefully guided Global Exposure, we empower youth to lead with confidence, collaborate with integrity, and drive local solutions.
